Antoine Semenyo, a Ghanaian international, scored in Manchester City’s victory over Fulham on Wednesday, cementing his place in the English Premier League’s history books.
During a fiercely fought match at Etihad Stadium, Semenyo started and played the entire game as the Sky Blues easily defeated their opponent 3-0.
By scoring and setting up a goal, the Black Stars attacker was instrumental in the team’s resounding victory over their rival.
Semenyo has surpassed Ghanaian icon Antony Yeboah’s record of 12 goals in the 1995–1996 Premier League season to become the highest-scoring Ghanaian player in the Premier League with 13 goals in a single season.
Yeboah’s tally had stood untouched for nearly three decades, but Semenyo ensured the long-standing record is broken this time after netting against Fulham.
The 25-year-old had already come close to equaling Yeboah’s record after netting 11 goals during the 2024/25 football campaign.
Semenyo’s record-breaking strike crowns a remarkable season for the 25-year-old, who has swiftly adapted to life at Manchester City after securing a high-profile move in the winter transfer window.

As the season continues, Semenyo now has the opportunity to extend his record even further, adding another layer to what has already become a historic campaign.
The Ghana international has become an instant hit for Manchester City, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in eight appearances across competitions.
