Ghana Premier League winners Bibiani Gold Stars scored a 2-1 comeback victory against Asante Kotoko on Wednesday, marking the start of their campaign at the 2025 GHALCA Top 4 tournament.
The competition between the top four Premier League teams from the previous campaign began today and will conclude on Sunday, August 24.

At the University of Ghana Stadium, the first game between Asante Kotoko and Gold Stars was an exciting contest that entertained the fans that came to support their sides.
Three goals were scored in the match, although Asante Kotoko equalized first thanks to a goal from forward Albert Amoah in the sixteenth minute.
Gold Stars maintained composure and adhered to their strategy even though they gave up first. To the ire of the Kotoko players, who objected to the referee’s decision, the team was given a penalty kick in the 22nd minute.
Samuel Atta Kumi converted from 12 yards out to even the score with the ruling still in effect.
After a fierce battle, Gold Stars won 2-1 at the conclusion of regulation thanks to an own goal from Kotoko defender Henry Ansu in the second half.
At 6 p.m. today, Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions will play the second game of the day at the University of Ghana Stadium.
