Ghanaian star Joseph Paintsil expressed his joy after leading LA Galaxy to a Leagues Cup victory over Club Tijuana on Friday.
In a high-stakes match at the Dignity Health Sports Park, the Black Stars’ speedy winger, Joseph Paintsil, began and played the entire game as his team easily defeated Tijuana 5-2.

Matheus Nascimento of LA Galaxy broke the tie after just 17 minutes of play, while Gilberto Mora quickly tied the score for Tijuana in the 21st minute.
Brazil international Gabriel Pec scored just before the half to give the home team the lead again and send them into halftime ahead.
After the half time break, the visitors staged a swift comeback to level the score for Tijuana through Gilberto Mora in the 59th-minute, his second of the match.
However, it was the Ghana international, who led the demolition exercise for LA Galaxy in the second half of the match. He scored to restore the lead for his side in the 65th-minute before Marcos Reus added the fourth goal.
In stoppage time, the former KRC Genk star found the back of the net again to seal victory for LA Galaxy. The pacey winger denied himself a hat-trick after missing a penalty kick in the match.
Painstil has been impressive for LA Galaxy since returning from injury. He has scored four goals and provided an assists in 17 appearances in the Major League Soccer while scoring one in the Leagues Cup.
