After his unsuccessful transfer to OGC Nice, Ghanaian international Ransford Yeboah-Königsdörffer has quickly returned to Hamburger SV in Germany.
After both teams agreed on a €7 million transfer fee, the Black Stars attacker had taken a step closer to joining the French team instead of Hamburger SV.
In order to register the forward for Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League qualifier against SL Benfica, Nice sought to complete the signing of the forward as soon as possible.

But Yeboah’s required medical examination indicated a meniscus problem at first. In order to acquire the Ghanaian international, Nice decided to back out of the agreement after a second test.
Yeboah’s failed move seems to have Hamburger SV in a state of shock. The Ghanaian forward had only missed two games in the previous three years due to muscular problems, so the German team wasn’t prepared for this development.
The gifted Ghanaian attacker is anticipated to continue his streak with the recently promoted Bundesliga team next season after failing to secure this move.
Since joining Hamburger SV in 2022, the 23-year-old attacker has made a name for himself as a vital player. The forward scored 14 goals for Hamburg in the Bundesliga 2 last season.
