Salah helped the Anfield team win the championship with four games remaining by scoring 28 goals and dishing out 18 assists.

Salah became just the fifth player to win the accolade twice, following in the footsteps of Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nemanja Vidić, and Kevin De Bruyne, after earning it in 2017–18 as well.

As the season enters its last day on Sunday, the 32-year-old Egyptian is five goals ahead of Alexander Isak of Newcastle United and is on track to win another Golden Boot for most goals in a season.

When Liverpool hosts Crystal Palace at Anfield, Salah might even surpass the record of 47 goals scored by Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole, who both accomplished the feat in a 42-game season. No player has ever had 46 goal involvements in a 38-game season.

Salah has the potential to become the first football player to win Player of the Season, Playmaker, and Golden Boot with six more assists than any other player.
