Osman Bukari of Ghana is a nominee for Player of the Tournament in the 2025 US Open Cup.
Osman Bukari, a Ghanaian international, has been nominated for the 2025 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Player of the Tournament award in recognition of his outstanding play for Austin FC during this year’s tournament.
Bukari was instrumental in leading Austin FC to their first-ever US Open Cup final, where they fell to Nashville SC 2-1. The Ghanaian winger was named one of the tournament’s top players after contributing two goals and one assist during the season.
In the Round of 16, he scored the game-winning penalty and assisted on another goal in Austin’s 3-1 victory over Houston Dynamo. In the semifinal, he scored the first goal during extra time against Minnesota United.

Bukari participated in all five of Austin FC’s games, constantly impacting them with his quickness, inventiveness, and offensive presence.
