Paris Saint-Germain defeated Inter 5-0 in the final to win their first Champions League championship.
On Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Inter of Italy 5-0 to win the Champions League for the first time.
It’s the most lopsided final in the tournament’s history, surpassing even the 1994 4-0 victory over Barcelona by Inter’s local rivals AC Milan.

From the beginning of the contest in Munich, Germany, Paris Saint-Germain gave their opponents no chance.
In the stadium typically used by Bayern Munich, Desire Doue, a 19-year-old French forward, scored twice for PSG and assisted Achraf Hakimi in scoring the first goal. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia then made it four goals, and Senny Mayulu, a replacement, finished the scoring.
“I can’t find the words. This is my biggest dream,” Doue said. “We have written history.”
Portuguese midfielder Vitinha, who was one of PSG’s creative sparks, said: “This means everything. It’s my dream, it’s our dream. It’s incredible. The result is not by magic. I’m happy we did it like this, we’re now going to celebrate.”
Qatari-owned PSG are just the second French club since Marseille in 1993 to win European football’s top trophy.
The victory comes five years after they lost to Bayern Munich in their only previous final appearance.
