2025 AFCON

Today, Black Stars coach Otto Addo will reveal his team for the last 2025 AFCON qualifying matches.

Matchday five and six will see the senior national team play their last qualifiers against Angola and Niger. Following a dismal start, Ghana is trying against all odds to get to the 2025 edition in Morocco.

On November 15, Otto Addo and his team will travel to Luanda to play Angola at the Estádio 11 de Novembro. Three days later, they will play at home against the Niger Republic at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Conference Room is anticipated to host the announcement at 12:00 PM.

Before a 1-1 tie with Niger in Berkane, Ghana’s qualifiers began with a loss to Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Black Stars lost 2-0 in the return leg in Libya after being held to a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium in the doubleheader against Sudan.

With just two points from their four games, the Black Stars are currently in third position in Group F, behind Sudan and Palancas Negras.

Only if Otto Addo’s team defeats Angola and Niger and hopes Sudan loses their last round of matches will they advance to the tournament.

Black Stars Can Qualify For 2025 AFCON

Ibrahim Sannie Daara, the former director of communications for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has asked Otto Addo to invite the top players to the Black Stars’ last round of 2025 AFCON qualifying matches.

On November 15, Palancras Negras will welcome the senior national team at the Estádio 11 de Novembro. Three days later, the team will play at home against the Niger Republic at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Sannie Daara has rejected demands to invite local players to the games, as Otto Addo, the team’s head coach, is expected to announce his squad.

Despite their dismal start, he said, the Black Stars are still in the running to make it to the tournament and will require the best players for the matches.

“We have to do anything possible to ensure that we qualify for the AFCON, so we have to invite the best players because we are still in the race for qualification,” he stated to Asempa FM.

“We can still go and win in Angola and defeat Niger since we defeated Mali in the World Cup qualifiers.

“We have the players and talent to do it,” he stated.

After recording two draws and two defeats, the Black Stars currently sit in third place in Group F. For Ghana to qualify, they must win their games and hope Sudan lose their games against Niger and Angola
