Ghana’s Black Satellites Ready to Battle Ivory Coast in WAFU U20 Semi-Final Showdown

On Sunday night, Black Satellites will play Ivory Coast in the 2025 WAFU Zone B U20 Boys Cup semifinals. The Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram will host the match at 19:00 GMT.

After dominating the group round, Ivory Coast enters the match in excellent shape. The Young Elephants finished with nine points and a perfect record after winning all three of their Group B games, including a 2-0 victory over Togo.

Ghana had a more complicated path to the final four. The Black Satellites drew 1-1 with Nigeria to start the season, and then narrowly defeated Benin 1-0.

They finished second in Group A with four points, tied with Nigeria but edged out on goal difference.

With a spot in the final on the line, Sunday’s encounter promises intensity and drama. Backed by home support, Ghana will be determined to upset the Ivorians’ momentum. Ivory Coast, meanwhile, will aim to continue their unbeaten streak.

Nigeria will face Niger at 15:00 GMT in the other semi-final earlier that day.
