The future of Thomas Partey at Arsenal is uncertain as contract negotiations continue to be difficult.
Although Arsenal is interested in extending Thomas Partey’s contract, the Ghanaian midfielder’s future at the club is still up in the air, with talks being characterized as “complicated” and far from conclusive.
In an interview with Sports Mole, Charles Watts disclosed that talks are still preliminary. Watts stated, “They’re not really at formal talks yet.” “They’re considering their options, but this isn’t a simple transaction.”
Partey, who is in the last year of his contract, is rumored to be looking for a better deal, but because of his age and injury history, Arsenal is hesitant to increase his base pay.
While Partey has enjoyed arguably his best season in an Arsenal shirt, featuring in 47 matches with four goals and three assists, concerns remain over whether the club should commit to another high-paying long-term contract for a player turning 32.
