The Access Bank Division One League, the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, and the Ghana Premier League will all fully adopt the standard player contract.

“This represents a landmark success,” said PFAG President Samuel Kuffuor, who enjoyed a distinguished playing career at the likes of Bayern Munich and Roma. “As the body for all professional footballers in the country, PFAG reiterates its commitment to ensuring a fair and consistent framework to safeguard the welfare of our members at all times.”

The primary objective of Ghana’s standard player contract is to provide guarantees on contractual obligations, creating a level playing field between clubs and minimising legal disputes.

It outlines the terms and conditions of the player’s employment, including duration, compensation and other relevant regulations.
