Sports Ministry and Nestlé Ghana to collaborate on grassroots sports & youth empowerment

Nestlé Ghana and the Sports Ministry will work together on youth empowerment and grassroots sports.

Salomé Azevedo, the CEO of Nestlé Ghana, met with Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister of Sports and Recreation, at his office in Accra. The purpose of the two parties’ meeting was to discuss ways to work together more closely on youth empowerment and grassroots sports development.

In a Facebook post, Hon. Adams referred to Nestlé as a famous Milo brand that has continuously sponsored community and school athletics nationwide.

He thinks that Nestlé’s new program, “Building Champs,” will strengthen this influence by teaching kids discipline, collaboration, and healthy eating through sports.

Through its Milo brand and the Healthy Kids Programme, which blends nutrition education with physical activity like football and athletics, Nestlé primarily focuses on youth development as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) for sports.
