I am the best coach to lead Asante Kotoko - Prince Yaw Owusu

Despite a loss in his first game, interim Asante Kotoko head coach Prince Yaw Owusu has stated that he is confident in his ability to guide the team.

After Karim Zito left, Yaw Owusu took over, and on Sunday at Baba Yara Stadium, he faced a difficult test against rivals Hearts of Oak. Baba Adamu’s header in the first half gave the Phobians a 1-0 victory.

Yaw Owusu acknowledged the threat the loss provides to Kotoko’s hopes of winning the championship in a post-match interview with the media.

“We find it hard to win the league after losing to Hearts of Oak,” he acknowledged.

When asked if he is the right person to steer the team forward, the interim coach replied firmly: “Yes, there’s no two ways about it.”

Kotoko, who have gone three games without a win, will look to bounce back when they visit Young Apostles at the Wenchi Sports Stadium in their Matchday 23 fixture this weekend.
