Prince Ampem Scores as Shanghai Port Hammer Wuhan Three Towns

Ghanaian winger Prince Ampem was among the goals as Shanghai Port recorded an emphatic 4-0 win over Wuhan Three Towns in Round 8 of the Chinese Super League at the SAIC Motor Pudong Arena.

The 28-year-old attacker made his mark shortly after the restart, scoring just one minute into the second half to double Shanghai Port’s lead after being set up by Zhurun Liu.

Shanghai Port had already taken control of the match in the opening half when Zhen Wei opened the scoring in the 15th minute with an assist from Mateus Vital.

The home side continued their dominance in the second half, with Tyias Browning adding a third goal in the 58th minute before Zhurun Liu capped off an excellent performance by scoring the fourth in the 77th minute to complete the rout.

Ampem’s goal marks another positive step in his campaign. The Ghanaian forward has now made six league appearances this season, contributing one goal and one assist in 355 minutes of action.

Since joining Shanghai Port on loan, Ampem has become an important attacking option for the team, using his pace, direct running, and versatility to make an impact in the final third.

Shanghai Port will now turn their attention to their next league assignment, where they will travel to face Qingdao Hainiu on Saturday, May 2, as they look to continue their strong run of form in the Super League.
