The free-entry event showcased grassroots boxing prowess with exciting performances from over 30 amateur and juvenile boxers.

All participating fighters received essential equipment thanks to the initiative’s founder, Joe Bronya, a coach and ring official from the Netherlands. Gloves, boots, protective gear, training kits, and clothing were given to boxers, and punching bags were given to a few gyms, such as Black Panthers, Attoh Quarshie, and Akotoku Academy.

Rev. John Wesley Lawson of supporting group MPT Foundation GH urged discipline and rigorous training, pledging expanded support in 2026: “We’re assessing gym needs to elevate platforms for these athletes.” Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) Vice President Alhaji Dauda Fuseni praised Bronya’s commitment to youth development, noting fulfilled promises to the boxing community.

SafeBox’s Mubarak Nanor thanked partners and hinted at broader gym inclusion next year. The event was attended by former GBF President George Lamptey and ex-world champion Joshua “Hitter” Clottey, highlighting boxing’s unifying legacy in Bukom.
