Versatile Jeffrey Schlupp Relishing Fresh Challenge at Norwich City

Former Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp has spoken of his excitement after sealing a move to Championship side Norwich City on a free transfer following his departure from Crystal Palace.

The experienced midfielder, who has penned a one-year deal with the Canaries, brings a wealth of Premier League and international experience to Carrow Road.

Jeffrey Schlupp Eager to Embrace New Chapter at Norwich City

Speaking on his new chapter, Jeffrey Schlupp said: “I’m excited, it’s something new again but a lot to look forward to back in the Championship at a big club.” His words reflect a player ready to embrace a fresh challenge and contribute meaningfully to Norwich City’s promotion ambitions.

Having held talks with head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup, Schlupp revealed a strong sense of purpose: “I’ve spoken to the head coach about the plan for this year and I am excited to be involved.”

His readiness to adapt and integrate into the team’s philosophy will be a valuable asset, especially for a side looking to bounce back into the top flight.

He added, “I’m looking forward to meeting all the players and hopefully we can create something special this year.” Schlupp’s positive outlook, combined with his versatility, will not only strengthen the squad on the pitch but also inspire younger players within the dressing room.

Jeffrey Schlupp discloses target for new season at Crystal Palace

Jeffrey Schlupp, a midfielder for Crystal Palace of Ghana, has revealed his goal objective for the upcoming English Premier League season.

The 31-year-old, who had a strong preseason run, was not deployed as a substitute in the Eagles’ opening-day away loss to Brentford.

Schlupp scored in three straight games during training, and because of his league experience, he is anticipated to be a major player in the upcoming campaign.

Although he scored goals in the preseason, the Ghanaian-German is not a prolific scorer; in 29 games during the previous season, he managed just two goals.

However, Schlupp is hoping to improve his numbers in-front of goal in the 2024/25 campaign.

“I wish I had that form in the Premier League! For me, I managed to score a few goals this pre-season and I’m happy with how I performed,” he told Crystal Palace TV.

“In terms of a goal target, any more than last year would be good for me, but hopefully we just have a successful season all together and then if I can chip in with some goals and assists, I’ll be happy with that, yeah.

“We’ve worked so hard and hopefully we can give [the fans] something good to shout about on the first day.”
