“Today, he showed some good things, acceleration and shots.

“In my opinion, he is a guy who needs to be developed. He is not a finished player, but he really wants to grow,” Juric told Atalanta media.

The fitness of Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has improved, according to Southampton manager Russell Martin.

The 22-year-old Kamaldeen Sulemana is getting close to playing again after missing the last few games of the preseason because of an injury.

“Kamaldeen is nearly fit, Ross Stewart is nearly back in contention, Adam Lallana is nearly back, so they’re in a really good place,” Martin stated.

We seem to have reached a stage where the first game has to happen. If we got extra training time, I’m not sure what we would work on.

“The players just need it to come now, and we’re incredibly happy with the work we’ve done. I believe that everyone does. It will be good to have it resolved.”

Southampton is encouraged by Sulemana’s possible availability ahead of their Premier League debut on Saturday against Newcastle United.

The quick winger might wind up being a great asset for the Saints in their quest for a successful season opener.

Sulemana’s fitness is a plus, but there will be competition for a starting place in Southampton’s starting lineup.

The team has been active in the transfer market, and manager Russell Martin will have a variety of choices at his disposal.

Owing to an injury, Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana is anticipated to miss the start of the 2024–2025 English Premier League season.

The 22-year-old Kamaldeen Sulemana is expected to miss Southampton’s opening game on Saturday, August 17 at St. James’ Park against Newcastle United due to an injury he suffered during the team’s 2-0 loss to Oxford United.

Sulemana’s condition was verified by Southampton manager Martin Russell, who declared, “Kamaldeen will be out for three weeks.”

This report was released shortly before Southampton’s Wednesday, August 9 preseason match against Lazio, following the team’s defeat at Oxford United.

As part of their preseason preparations, the Saints will also play Spanish La Liga team Getafe on Saturday, August 10. This is in addition to their matchup with Lazio.

After being demoted after the 2022–2023 season, Southampton is getting ready to rejoin the Premier League.

Sulemana’s injury marks the latest setback for the player, who has previously struggled with multiple injuries while playing for French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes and Southampton.
