Kamaldeen Sulemana is Not a Finished Product—Atalanta Boss Juric

Despite displaying promise in preseason, Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana still has space for improvement, according to Atalanta head coach Ivan Juric.

Sulemana left Southampton to sign a long-term contract with the Serie A team for a potential £18 million. He played in a friendly match that concluded 1-0 in favor of the first squad against Atalanta’s U-23 team.

“Today, he showed some good things, acceleration and shots.

“In my opinion, he is a guy who needs to be developed. He is not a finished player, but he really wants to grow,” Juric told Atalanta media.

The 23-year-old is seen as a potential replacement for Ademola Lookman, who has been linked with a move to Inter Milan this summer.

Atalanta will kick off their new season against Pisa on August 24.

Asante Kotoko has formally unveiled their home jersey for the 2025–2026 Ghana Premier League season, extending its collaboration with The Hope Brand (THB), a Ghanaian-owned kit maker.

The club’s iconic red color is still present in the new jersey, which also features black and white accents on the neckline and sleeves. It was introduced on the club’s social media accounts, and fans have already praised it for its simple style and contemporary appearance.

The German company THB has been providing Kotoko with uniforms since the 2023–2024 campaign and is in charge of the team’s replica goods, training wear, and matchday attire.

The reveal comes after Kotoko defeated Kaizer Chiefs on penalties in the 2025 Toyota Cup in Durban. In preparation for their involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup and the GHALCA Top 4 event, the club will now start pre-season in Cape Coast on July 30.

The club will soon announce the price and sales locations for the replica kits, which should soon be available in stores.

Asante Kotoko are aiming to build on their recent success and improve on last season’s sixth-place finish in the Premier League.

Barcelona vs Marc-André ter Stegen

Marc-André ter Stegen isn’t leaving and appears determined to make things extremely tough for his employers, despite the Blaugrana’s desire to get rid of him.

Perhaps the most interesting team in world football at the moment is Barcelona. As their exciting Champions League semi-final loss to Inter highlights, Hansi Flick’s team virtually guarantees goals at both ends of the field because to their outstanding strikers and absurdly high defensive line.

Barcelona vs Marc-André ter Stegen: How Spanish champions ended up at war with their club captain

Off the pitch, meanwhile, Barca is also a lot of fun, especially during transfer windows. It was always entertaining to watch whatever ludicrously costly and completely unnecessary addition will be made to the squad during the Josep Maria Bartomeu era.

Since the election of lever-pulling Joan Laporta as president, the focus has shifted to trying to figure out how on earth the Blaugrana will balance the books.

It’s always highly amusing watching Barca sign players they can’t afford before then going to comical lengths to try to register the new arrivals with La Liga. In that sense, the Spanish champions are a journalist’s dream, an endless supply of drama.

Seeing Barcelona recruit players they cannot afford and then go to ridiculous lengths to try to register the new players with La Liga is always very funny. The Spanish champions are, in that way, a journalist’s paradise, a never-ending source of drama.

In August 2023, Marc-André ter Stegen signed a contract extension, which delighted Barcelona. To begin with, the German was crowned La Liga’s top player after recording a record-tying 26 clean sheets in the Blaugrana’s 2022–2023 championship victory.

As far as Laporta was concerned, Barca boasted the best shot-stopper in world football. “Ter Stegen is a guarantee in goal,” the Catalan enthused at the time. “And he is a person of real value. He has adapted to the club, the city, and the country – and that is why he is one of the team captains. We are delighted to have him.”

However, of even greater satisfaction to Laporta was the fact that Marc-André ter Stegen had agreed to stagger his salary in such a way that it afforded the club more wiggle room within La Liga’s strict wage bill regulations. “We have to thank him for restricting his contract because it allowed us to sign other players,” the Barca president acknowledged.

Aduana FC has agreed to sign William Dankyi Ntori, a defender for the Bibiani Gold Stars and former Hearts of Oak, King Faisal, on a contract that will last until 2027.

After accepting Aduana’s formal proposal, the 27-year-old left back, who is presently a free agent, is anticipated to go to Dormaa this week for a medical examination.

Last season, Dankyi played a crucial role in the Gold Stars’ victory in the 20242025 Ghana Premier League.

His planned transfer to Tabora United of the Tanzanian Premier League fell through earlier this month after talks broke down. Both sides were unable to agree on contractual and financial parameters after extensive negotiations.

Dankyi’s arrival is expected to bolster Aduana’s defensive options ahead of the new football season.

Karim Zito, the head coach of Asante Kotoko, has commended his team’s performance in winning the 2025 Toyota Cup.

Over the weekend, the Ghanaian heavyweights took against the PSL’s Kaizer Chiefs at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Kotoko triumphed 3-2 on a penalty shootout to win the trophy after a goalless draw after ninety minutes of play. After the game, the seasoned coach thanked the players for following the game plan in a statement to the media.

“I am pleased with the result and also the performance of my players,” Zito said after the game.

“With the new players, I knew I was not going to get what I wanted, but I assigned them certain responsibilities, and I was looking at it,” he added.

Asante Kotoko arrived in Ghana on Sunday night and are expected to break camp before reassembling for the GHALCA Top 4 tournament, which has been scheduled for August 20-24 at the Baba Yara Stadium.

These games form part of their pre-season preparations for the upcoming 2025/26 domestic season and their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
