Mohammed Kudus: 'I’ve set new goals for myself'

Mohammed Kudus, a Ghanaian international, revealed that after reaching some of his previous goals, he has set new ones for himself.

The 24-year-old, who plays for West Ham United in the English Premier League, began his playing career in Nima, Ghana, and has progressively advanced through several divisions.

Mohammed Kudus thanked his family for working so hard to provide him the opportunity to play in one of the world’s top leagues in an interview with NBC Sports.

The forward claims that even though he has accomplished some of the objectives he set for himself when he was younger, he is now setting greater standards for himself in the hopes of accomplishing more before he retires.

“It means a lot, but I don’t think they [my family] are too surprised because they put in the effort for me and pushed me to get to this point. All credit to them. This is just the beginning. I still have a lot of goals and things I want to achieve. I’ve reached some goals, but I set new ones and will keep aiming high until whenever I hang up my boots,” Mohammed Kudus said.

This season, Mohammed Kudus has not hit top form at West Ham United but has remained a key player for the team.

He is reportedly a transfer target of several European clubs, including Liverpool.

Kevin-Prince Boateng

Kevin-Prince Boateng, a former Barcelona and AC Milan player, has talked about how his agent damaged his career when he was younger before he achieved more tremendous success.

After a distinguished career that included stints with Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and other teams, Boateng announced his retirement in August 2023 at the age of 35.

Before rising to the top, the German-Ghanaian had faced numerous challenges regarding transfers due to a money-minded football agent.

To bring his expertise, Boateng has established a football agency, ‘Rookie and Champ’ to guide young players to make the best of decisions.

“It’s a big, big ball, and not everything is positive. You have some agents, like, I can remember I signed for a new club, and, ten days later, the coach told me you didn’t want me. And he just told me, I never wanted you. It was the sport director who wanted you, so you tried to call your agent. And I tried to call my agent back then, and, the phone was off” he told TransferRoom Summit.

“There was a moment where I signed for Tottenham Hotspur, and I tried to call my agent. I’ve never spoken to him ever again, and that happened in two thousand seven. So can you imagine?

“It’s two thousand twenty five. I’ve never spoken to him ever again. So it’s like the quick money, quick bug, and then they’re gone. And there’s some of these people out there, and that’s why I said I want to bring into my experience of always wanting to be there for my boys” he said.

My dad has done a lot for the family - Jordan Ayew

Jordan Ayew, a Ghanaian international, has conveyed his appreciation for the important contribution his father, Abedi Pele, has made to his and his brothers’ careers.

As the son of a renowned player, Ayew understands the enormous expectations that accompany his more than 300 Premier League games.

“It’s not easy to come after your father in a sense of the expectations being so high back home and even in Europe,” Ayew said.

He does, however, think that he and his brother Andre have handled the pressure well and have kept their attention on their individual paths.

Additionally, Ayew acknowledged his parents’ assistance, stating, “My Dad has done a lot, for not only me, but my whole family.” “There’s still more to come from us, and hopefully we can give them more moments to enjoy,” he continued, expressing his desire to keep making them proud.

As the captain of the Black Stars, Ayew follows in the footsteps of his father, Abedi Pele, one of Africa’s greatest footballers.

He and his brothers, Ibrahim and Andre, have all pursued careers in football, with Jordan and Andre having played for Olympique Marseille.

Even Real keeper Thibaut Courtois, who is always so inspired on Champions League evenings, was unable to come close to the England midfielder’s thunderbolts, demonstrating the incomparable skill of Rice’s brace.

Amazingly, prior to the first of his rockets striking the back of the Real net, Rice had never scored a free-kick in his career.

It was exactly what Arsenal deserved with a mature performance that brutally exposed Real Madrid, who were plagued by injuries.

Mikel Arteta’s men will travel to the Bernabeu for the second leg on April 16 as firm favourites to advance to a semi-final tie against Paris Saint-Germain or Aston Villa, who meet in their quarter-final first leg on Wednesday.

The Gunners have not reached the Champions League semi-finals since 2009, but that target is now within their grasp after an evening that will go down as one of the most memorable in the club’s storied history.
